Meaning of the Name
Elevia (eh-LEV-ee-uh) represents the commitment to elevating students throughout their educational journey by providing guidance, mentorship, academic support, and access to opportunities that lead to college success and graduation.
The name is grounded in the idea of elevation and pathway reflecting a journey that lifts students toward opportunity, achievement, and lifelong success. Elevia embodies the belief that when students are surrounded with consistent support, mentorship, and access to resources, they can rise above barriers and reach their full potential.
Program Overview
The Elevia Initiative is a long-term educational support program designed to ensure that students from historically underserved communities have access to the resources, mentorship, and academic guidance needed to succeed from early adolescence through college graduation.
Beginning as early as middle school and continuing through the college years, Elevia surrounds students and families with a coordinated ecosystem of support that strengthens academic success, builds confidence, and prepares students for long-term opportunity.
The initiative focuses on addressing educational barriers by providing consistent guidance, mentorship, and resources at critical stages of a student’s academic journey.Through tutoring, mentoring, college preparation, scholarship guidance, and life-skills development, Elevia helps students stay on track academically and navigate the complex pathway to higher education and graduation.
Why Elevia Matters
Many students—particularly those from historically underserved communities—face significant barriers on the path to higher education. These barriers can include limited access to academic support, mentorship, college preparation resources, and guidance on navigating the financial and application processes associated with college.
Without consistent support, even highly capable students may struggle to stay on track academically or may lack the information and encouragement needed to pursue higher education opportunities.
Elevia addresses these challenges by providing continuous, relationship-based support that guides students through each critical stage of their educational journey. By surrounding students with mentorship, academic resources, and college preparation support, Elevia helps students build confidence, overcome barriers, and successfully pursue higher education.

At every stage, we prioritize healthspan over simply lifespan—cultivating vitality, clarity, and joy for the years ahead.
Upward. Inward. Forward. Together.
Co-founded by Tenah Dyer aka T, and Carrie Kostiner, Upelle is a vibrant and growing virtual community of peri- and menopausal women from across the United States. Launched in October 2023—aligned with Menopause Awareness Month—what began as an intimate conversation has blossomed into a thriving space for education, empowerment, and connection.
We meet monthly via Zoom, centering each gathering around a specific theme. Our sessions include:
Guest speakers
Expert-led discussions
Interactive forums
Book clubs featuring guest authors
Each event invites women to share stories, ask questions, and learn together as we explore the many dimensions of menopause.
Carrie Kostiner, a Holistic Health Practitioner and Herbalist, brings deep knowledge and a passion for natural wellness, offering coaching and education focused on empowering and integrative approaches to midlife health.
Tenah Dyer aka T, an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and social activist, is dedicated to creating inclusive, uplifting spaces where women feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, they co-facilitate each session, blending science, storytelling, and sisterhood into an engaging and enriching experience.
We also maintain a dedicated Google Group to keep our community connected between sessions—sharing resources, conversations, and reflections. Carrie provides comprehensive summaries after each gathering, ensuring everyone can stay informed and involved, even if they missed the live session.
