to build The Village

@ NEON 1974 Union San Francisco

Highlights and Updates:

Governor Newsom announced last week the award of  $31.4M from Prop 1 - Behavioral Health Bond

$1 million capital steward leadership gift from the 11th hour Indigenous Project -  through the Schmidt Family Foundation, catalyzing our Major Donor campaign and bolstering our foundation, governmental and philanthropic partnerships.

The Village features a culturally rooted, nationally recognized care model that will combine traditional healing practices with evidence-based clinical services.

  • Our Programming will support 7,000+ community members annually to gain sobriety, economic opportunity, health services, and youth, Elder and cultural programs.

  • We have strong support from Civic Leaders - including Mayor Daniel Lurie, Gov. Gavin Newsom, CA State Legislative leaders, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, and CA State Agency Secretaries Crowfoot, Garcia and Snider- Ashtari, as well as dozens of tribal and community partners.

  • We attained multiple Green Awards for sustainable design and carbon sequestration including from the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Green Building Council.

I stand shoulder to shoulder with Friendship House and its Village Project today, tomorrow, and in the years to come. Together, we’re going to get this done.
